Start of applications for the Smart Country Startup Award 2024
Clean water thanks to intelligent sensors, new mobility concepts with the help of data analysis - many start-ups are working to drive digitalisation in the public sector. As an innovation prize of the Smart Country Convention (SCCON), the Smart Country Startup Award (SCSA) honours young companies with outstanding solutions in the GovTech and Smart City categories. The application phase is now open.
Innovative ideas and solutions wanted
Do you have an ingenious idea for the digitalisation of the federal, state and local governments? Then the Smart Country Startup Award is just the thing for you! With the innovation award, Get Started, the startup initiative of the digital association Bitkom, brings young companies and talented founders to the stage at SCCON 2024.
As early-stage start-ups, you are cordially invited to submit your pioneering concepts and assert yourselves among the finalists. The best solutions will then be presented to a jury of experts and a live audience at the Smart Country Convention. The winners will not only receive 5,000 euros in prize money, but also a free one-year membership of Get Started. The application deadline is 16 September 2024.

SCSA live pitches on the Plaza Stage at #SCCON24
SCCON is THE event for the digitalisation of the public sector and will bring over 15,000 experts from politics, business, science and administration to Berlin from 15-17 October. More than 600 high-calibre speakers will be appearing on a total of five stages this year.
On 16 October, the finalists of the Smart Country Startup Award 2024 will have the opportunity to present their solutions on the main stage. At the subsequent Startup Award Night, participants will be able to network with representatives from all areas of the public sector and make valuable contacts in a relaxed atmosphere.
