Neuraflow and UrbanDataLens win Smart Country Award 2024
At the Smart Country Convention 2024, the innovative startups Neuraflow from Bremerhaven and UrbanDataLens from Berlin were honoured with the Smart Country Startup Award. The award, organised by the GetStarted start-up initiative of the digital association Bitkom, recognises pioneering solutions for the public sector every year. Neuraflow and UrbanDataLens impressed the jury in the GovTech and Smart City categories.
Daniel Breitinger, Head of the Bitkom Startup Initiative, emphasised the importance of startups: ‘Citizens want digital administrative processes and smart cities. Startups like today's winners have exactly the right ideas and solutions, but they often lack the necessary publicity. This is where the Smart Country Startup Award comes in to promote innovation in the public sector.’
Neuraflow from Bremerhaven came out on top in the GovTech category. The startup makes urban data usable in a targeted manner and has developed an ‘empathic AI’ for this purpose. This ensures simpler and more effective communication with citizens and drives digitalisation in the public sector.
UrbanDataLens from Berlin, winner in the Smart City category, focuses on accessing and analysing public data. With AI-supported tools and voice control, the start-up offers a solution that supports decisions in urban planning, administration and business through data-based analyses.
Both start-ups can look forward to prize money of 5,000 euros each as well as free Bitkom membership, which gives them access to an extensive network and numerous funding opportunities.
